Behind The Vibrant Series

I love this time of year, I find myself outside with the kids more, hiking, prepping the garden, and spending a little too much at the greenhouse (like that key lime tree I just bought). Everything coming into bloom makes me want to bring more color into the house now that the dark days of our Midwest Winter are finally gone. In this series of prints you'll find just that. Bright, bold colors with a few black and white thrown in simply because I'm a sucker for a good black and white photo. 

While creating this series I had visions of them working well in bedrooms, playrooms, and the more abstract ones, in most spaces in your home. Which you'll see examples of in the listing photos. 

This entire series was photographed using my beloved macro lens and studio lighting. While many images can be described as abstract with their creamy, dreamy, close ups of Gerber Daises, you'll find two with abstract in the title. These two were created using a method called ICM (intentional camera movement) that has become a favorite of mine to create truly one-of-a-kind pieces that remind me more of paintings than photographs. If you look closely you'll see the flower shape still visible.
